cheap Single Pushchair Single Pushchairs

The Babyzen Yoyo stroller is a good option if you are on a budget and do not need a stroller which can also be used as a car seat carrier. It has a flip-flop friendly one-step footbrake.

It's also a breeze to push and feels sturdy in navigating kerbs or woodland paths. It's also a breeze to fold.

1. Babyzen YOYO2

The Babyzen YOYO2 has earned itself a reputation as the ultimate light-weight buggy for city dwellers and jet-setters alike, due to its super nimble manoeuvrability and fold that fits in aeroplane overhead luggage. The most recent version features independent suspension on all four wheels, made from Hytrel elastomer to 'perfectly navigate all types of surface and terrain'.

The YOYO2 frame base along with the curved fabric bassinet and 6+ month color pack make a stylish and elegant pushchair that is easy on the eye with a subtle yet elegant aesthetic and tasteful branding. The base frame alone weighs just under a kilo and is so light that you can easily lift it out of the box (and do so one-handed).

The hood, for example is able to snap onto the YOYO2 in a calm way. It is also machine washable at 30deg which helps prevent stains caused by smushed rice cakes and carrot puffs. It can be used as a pram starting from birth using the Newborn Pack or bassinet, or converted to stroller at 6 months old by clicking on the YOYO Connect additional chassis.

2. Evenflo Pivot Xplore

The Evenflo Pivot Xplore is a great choice for parents looking for an adaptable stroller wagon. It can be converted from a stroller to wagon by simply turning the handle, so parents can choose the mode they prefer for their adventure. The wagon can be used by one or two kids from 6 months up to 5 years old, and it comes with a spacious storage basket that can accommodate everything you need on the go.

The Xplore also features dual canopies that move from front to back, ensuring ample sun coverage for all family members. It also has a footwell that is not as large or deep as some wagons, so it may not be suitable for long excursions or for napping.

The frame of the Xplore wagon is solid and sturdy, but it does not flex as much as some other wagons we have test. It is also more difficult than other wagons to fold and it's not able to lock tight after folding. It is easy to maneuver however, and can be able to fit through narrow 28-inch doors.

3. Delta Children LX Side by Side

This bare-bones double stroller from Delta Children is an excellent choice for parents looking for an affordable, second-hand travel stroller. It scored well in our Strollers and Multiples Test for weight and fold dimensions, meaning it is lightweight and compact when folded and easy to carry and put into a car trunk. It also features an adjustable recline seat that can be adjusted in multiple positions and cup holders for the parent. Other important features include two large storage bags that hang from the ceiling and 360-degree shock-absorbing front wheels.

It did better in our push and turn test than most of the other strollers we tested, but it is nonetheless difficult to maneuver on uneven ground or through narrow doors. Its sunshades were among the tiniest of strollers we test. They only cover the top, and do not have peekaboo windows. The UPPAbaby G-Link 2 and Zoe Twin+ have much larger canopy sizes.

It took us under 3 minutes to put together the Delta using a standard manual. None of the parts required tools. But, it's lacking some essential features that we believe you should not compromise on in a double stroller, like a large basket, and reclining seats with adjustable leg rests.

4. Maxi-Cosi Zelia 2-in-1

The Zelia is Maxi-Cosi's latest pushchair that is advertised as a travel system for urban use. It is designed to take infants from birth until around 3.5 years old, and can be converted between a seat and a carrycot by just only a few clicks. It can be used with Maxi-Cosi capsule car seats and comes with the Hauck Lightweight Travel Stroller - Navy/Gold Winner Mico 30 infant car seat, a stay-in-car base and a reversible carriage.

It's a breeze to manoeuvre and the one-hand reclining of the seat as well as the huge shopping basket make it easy for parent-tots to get the child in and out of the seat quickly. This compact pushchair can handle all day bumps and doorways with ease.

The front wheels can to be locked in a forward position, or they can rotate. This is helpful for navigating through rough terrain. On our walk on the stony path, we let them swivel and it performed well, although it seemed more bumpy than the other models on test.

5. Baby Jogger City Tour 2

Baby Jogger is best known for its three-wheeled, all-terrain, strollers that jog. However, they also produce a wide variety of pushchairs that have four wheels. The City Tour 2 is one of their most loved models. It is simple to use and folds up small enough to fit into the car boot, even with the carrycot attached.

It's a bit heavier than other strollers we tested but the wheels are rubber composite so it feels well-made and sturdy. It is easy to maneuver on different terrains and even with two kids with shopping bags and other items.

The carrycot and seat both come with hoods with pull-down sun canopy extensions that are UV50+. They are durable and waterproof, unlike other prams hoods which can be blown back into toddlers faces.

It's not a lot of storage space, but it does have a big basket that's big enough to hold an infant's changing bag and plenty of groceries. You can also connect it with a Baby Jogger infant car seat to create a traveling system for babies as big as 20 lb (car seat and adapters are sold separately). If you are looking for a stroller that can be taken on the road, the City Tour 2 is an excellent option.

6. Nuna Mixx Next

Nuna Mixx was a stroller that won the hearts of many parents when it first came out. It's a stroller made of aluminum which can be used from the infant's first days until. It has a number of stand-out features including the ability to flip the seat to be parent-facing and world-facing, a large UPF 50+ canopy that has an eye-shade that flips out as well as a large basket and adjustable handlebar.

The wheels are tough and foam-filled which minimises punctures. The chassis is equipped with built-in suspension that eases the pain of rough terrain. It was simple to push, and our tester was able to maneuver the car through the narrow streets.

It folds down in four easy steps and automatically locks without hassle. It can also be rolled and repositioned for easy transportation down the stairs or in the boot of the car. The travel system comes available with the option to add an additional car seat or carrycot using the adaptors that are included. The brakes have a single action and are color coded. They also can be used with flip-flops.

7. Babyzen Duet

This budget single pushchair is extremely easy to use and comes with great dual suspension, one-hand fold and a convenient carry strap. It's also super lightweight and durable. The seat can be reclined in various positions. It also comes with a built-in double breathable mattress that's suitable from birth.

The canopy/seat comes with two large fixed or flip-out sun visors. Both are UPF50+. However the toggle closure isn't perfect it's not as quiet as Velcro and could wake sleepy babies.

The Duet is a side-byside stroller and can be set up to accommodate twins or siblings (up to 22kg maximum per seat). It is compatible with two infant car seats and even works with some carrycots. In twin-mode, the seats can be positioned to face each other or rotate around to face parents, theoretically decreasing sibling fights over who sits with dad and mom. It comes with a large gear tray with a bottle holder as well as snack trays. It also has an automated frame lock and a superior compact fold.

8. Baby Jogger Urban Glide 2.

The Thule Urban glide 2 is the ideal jogger for parents that like to be active. It's one of the lightest strollers you can get for your child and offers excellent safety features such as a 5-point harness as well as a safety wrist strap. It comes with a different kind of hand brake unlike other models that is an innovative twist.

The seat is well-padded and has plenty of room to sit, but the seat's depth is not as deep as other joggers that we've tested (it's approximately 10"). The storage bin is encased with a zipper to keep things safe. It can hold 10 lbs., which is sufficient for the majority of diaper bags.

The Urban Glide 2 doesn't come with adapters for most bassinets and infant car seats however, you can use them starting from the first day using adapters that work with brands like BOB, Graco Combi Evenflo Britax UPPAbaby. It folds compactly and takes 5-10 minutes to assemble with no tools. The instruction manual is easy to understand and includes multiple languages.
