After the battery is removed, insert the new one into its socket. Ensure that the positive side of the battery is facing up and the clips are all seated. Slide the cover towards the key-ring portion until it loosens and is able to slide off. Then, you can remove the cover and reveal the mechanical key blade, which is hidden inside. This can be used to unlock your car from the driver's seat if you have lost or damaged the key fob.
